Well.... I created a public profile on facebook for mint&honey papergoods. I halfway did it out of boredom, but in the process thought it was probably a pretty good idea since so many people I know prefer facebook to blogging. I made a temporary logo for fun, haha. I really need someone to teach me the photoshop ropes.

wedding map

I spent my weekend creating a map for my dear friend Chelsie's wedding that is coming up at the end of May. She wanted the map to look similar to the style of Crystal Kluge. I didn't have the fancy hand lettering and watercolor skills like her, but I managed to pull off something I think she will be happy with.

I am a one purse or bag at a time girl. But seeing all these cute and functional bags around the web might make me a girl who has a bag for everyday of the week.

I think this music video is so sweet and so clever. I came across Rose on myspace a year or so ago, I think she's great! I am so frustrated though because iTunes does not carry her on their American store, so I can't download her.

birthdays

I recently celebrated my 25th birthday and it was super fun! My kindergarten students surprised me with a birthday poster they made in Spanish and then sung me happy birthday in Spanish.

I thought I'd share some of my gifts: some cool shades (which were a gift to myself) Tazo Organic Chai (my recent obsession, I have at least 2 cups a day), sharpie pens, a fun chocolate bar, some house slippers, Domino The Book of Decorating and an Orla Keily mug; simple, sweet gifts!

I just completed a birthday invitation for my good friend Mel, Her daughter is turning 8! I had so fun making it, as I do with everything.

The Sunday after Valentine's Day Sulu, the beagle, became apart of our family. Here are a couple of pictures of our new floppy ear friend.

home sweet home

Here are some pictures of our small apartment we moved into over the christmas holidays. It's beginning to have a cozy feel to it. There are still some empty places on the wall where art is needed but I am not going to rush it. I have my eye on a couple of things on Etsy that I plan on purchasing that I think will be the right fit.

The art in our apartment is a combination of old calendars, vintage children's illustrations, and a radiohead poster from their concert last may.

I love the built-in bookcase in this room.

Since our apartment is a one bedroom, we had to convert our living room into half living space and half working space. And it works!

We moved our red bookcase into the kitchen to make it more cheerful. We filled it with thrift finds, cookbooks and our colorful dishes found at Crate&Barrel Outlet. We made a trip to Ikea to fill in some lonely areas.

I will have to post pictures of the newest addition of our family next time!
